"But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine."
  Titus 2: 1
The word "doctrine" is found 17 times in the New Testament. It is translated from two Greek words which both mean "a teaching." In other words, doctrine is a teaching that Christians must follow. In some circles "doctrine" has become an old-fashioned and forgotten word. In their efforts to be relevant and modern many churches have adopted a laissez-faire approach to Christianity which lets people just do as they please. This is, of course, contray to what Jesus taught. He stressed the need for doctrine -- His doctrine.
"If you love me, keep my commandments."
John 14: 15
So, it is important that we teach the doctrines that Jesus taught. We can only be sure of that if we go "back to the Bible" for instruction. With that in mind we present the following doctrinal studies written with a strict "thus saith the Lord" perspective. We hope that you will find them educational and true to the "sound doctrine" of New Testament scripture.
